Shawn Rhoden Plans Olympia Return Despite Sexual Assault Allegations

Shawn Rhoden makes his 2020 Olympia ambitions known.

After winning the most coveted title in bodybuilding, Mr. Olympia, Shawn Rhoden has seen himself fall on hard times. Sexual assault allegations have be placed against him, tarnishing a once unsullied professional bodybuilding career.

While he is still innocent until proven guilty, the controversy was just too much for the powers that be and heads of the Olympia who decided to issue a ban against Shawn Rhoden at the 2019 Olympia.

With the absence of 2018 Olympia champion Shawn Rhoden and long-time titleholder Phil Heath, Brandon Curry was able to secure victory at the 2019 show. The absence of the reigning champion in particular left many wondering what would have occurred if Shawn Rhoden had competed.

With the door closed on 2019, it appears that the former champion is looking forward to the future. 2020 is right around the corner and if Shawn Rhoden has it his way he’ll be competing at the next Olympia. The only issue is that his legal troubles have yet to be decided in a court of law, leaving Rhoden in a very precarious spot.

TMZ Sports was able to catch up with 2018 Mr. Olympia champion Shawn Rhoden and query him on a number of issues, namely 2019 title winner Brandon Curry as well as his plans for the future.
