A huge opening for Indian bodybuilding competitors to make their mark in the IFBB.
We can’t stress enough how global bodybuilding is as a sport. And this aspect of bodybuilding only continues to grow as the world itself becomes more connected globally through digital technology. That being said there is still a long way to go in regards to equal representation for all bodybuilding athletes across the globe (a perfect examples is Hadi Choopan’s inability to compete at the Olympia 2018 due to the travel ban despite qualifying).
But Sheru Aangrish has take one big step towards bringing more opportunity for Indian bodybuilders in the IFBB. He has officially announced that the Sheru Classic brand will be running an IFBB pro qualifier show exclusive to Indian athletes. That is to say that only Indian bodybuilders will be eligible to earn an IFBB pro card. Check out the video announcement below:
This can bring a lot more opportunity for Indian bodybuilders to get their faces (and physiques) seen in big pro shows throughout the year – by simply providing the league with more Indian IFBB pros every year.
