Shots Fired! An Unimpressed Dorian Yates Says Pro Cards Are Given Out Too Easy

Dorian Yates isn’t impressed.

One of the most iconic bodybuilders to ever compete, Dorian Yates was the quintessential competitors of the 90s. He was absolutely massive, shredded, and a complete badass. Yates was the man who took bodybuilding to new heights, creating the mass monster aesthetic that has taken the bodybuilding world by storm today.

In Dorian Yates’ time, competing at the highest levels of bodybuilding was a much different story than what we see today. Unequivocally we can say that old school bodybuilders had a tougher road to achieving Olympia greatness. Getting a pro card with a crowning achievement, one achieved through consistent hard work and determination to truly be the best of the best.

But gone are the heydays of bodybuilding when becoming a pro was extremely difficult and extremely hard to achieve. A new era has emerged where pro cards are given to a great many bodybuilders in a host of different categories, something that was unheard of back in the day.

And it seems like Dorian Yates isn’t impressed.

In a recent Instagram post, Dorian Yates addressed the issue of pro cards being handed out with general ease in the modern era.

Do you agree with Dorian Yates? Are pro cards given out too easily?
