“Texas Titan” Gabriel Pena Pulls Unofficial World Record Axle Bar Deadlift of 1060lbs

Gabriel Pena is an absolute beast.

Deadlifting is perhaps the most difficult of all the lifts. Of the big 3 lifts it’s a lift that many don’t even attempt to do unless they need to do so for a competitive event. Just ask Robert Oberst about deadlifting and you’ll know that it isn’t for the faint of heart.

But when it comes to the deadlift, powerlifters and strongman competitors are always up for the challenge. Gabriel Pena is one such competitor who is constantly looking to make improvements.

Recently competing at the World’s Strongest Man competition, Gabriel Pena showed his mettle at the event. But even more recently, Pena did a monstrous deadlift that is unofficial world record numbers. Recently Pena pulled a 1060lbs axle deadlift from 18 inches.

1,060 lbs (481 kg) 18″ Axle Deadlift!!

I believe this may be an unofficial WR on the 18″ Axle Deadlift. Highest records I could find were Pritchett’s 1,053 lbs deadlift at 2018 Static Monsters and Lalas’s 480 kg deadlift at the 2016 Arnold Asia.

(**This is a very different lift than the 18″ barbell**)

Plenty more in the tank! Fun way to break in the suit ?
