The Strong and Beautiful Casey Samsel is Training Hard to Defeat Angelica Teixeira at the 2018 Olympia

Casey Samsel is looking to take the top spot.

The IFBB Bikini Pro division features some of the strongest, fit, and most beautiful women on the planet, all them looking to take the top spot as Olympia champion. Currently Angelica Teixeira holds the top spot as Bikini Olympia queen and isn’t looking to relinquish her title any time soon. The other women vying for the top spot are all working hard to claim the title of number one. One of those competitors is the talented Casey Samsel.

Taking the fourth place position in last year’s show, Casey Samsel is looking to impress at the 2018 Olympia and has been training hard year round to break into the top 3. Though she acquitted herself well at the 2017 show, Casey Samsel like any other competitor isn’t content with being a place holder. Instead, she’s been training hard in hopes of staking her claim as number one in the Bikini division.

The only way for Casey Samsel to take the top spot is through rigorous training and dynamic posing. In preparation for the 2018 Olympia, the talented Bikini Pro has been pulling out all the stops and pushing her body hard in the gym.

This was only half of my lower body workout today! It was exactly what I was looking for—an intensity check. I was wiped out afterwards!?? •Smith Machine Hack Squat-I focused on driving straight up while keeping my back and neck neutral. I also went at a pace where I could FEEL the extension and flexion of my hamstrings. •Sissy Squats-I hold water in my knees so this was a toughie! Kept the weight lighter and kept my form as long as my knees weren’t hurting! If they hurt, I stopped and redid the set without the weight and added a band. Holding the weight closer to your body will be easier than extending it out in front of you. I would have liked to be able to perform the movement to a more “seated” repetition where my upper body isn’t over my knees so much. I’ll get there!? •Smith Lunges-focused on the extension and flexion if the hamstrings and driving the weight through my heels. Again, spine and neck neutral as possible and glide through the rep. •Kneeling Squats-get the weight up! Also, do not use your shins or feet to push the rep. Use your hams and glutes! Stabilize your body with a stance directly under the bar in which you can drive through the rep without putting too much pull over your knees on your knees, because…OUCH.
