In the world of strength sporting events there is no event treated with more reverence and respect as the strongman competition. It pits the world’s strongest men against each other to see who is truly the strongest. It’s a certainly an event that shows the measure of a man as far as strength is concerned. Where bodybuilders focus on building their physiques, eating right, and ultimately sculpting their physical forms into something impressive, a strongman is all about the results. They train day after day in the hopes of increasing their strength because they understand that there’s always a hungry lion looking to prove that they’re at the top of the food chain.

Hafthor Bjornsson is an individual that has garnered a tremendous amount of fame do to his turn as an imposing and violent character on the hit television show Game of Thrones. The character Gregor Clegane, better known as The Mountain, was the role of a lifetime for Hafthor and has proven to be the key element to his increased popularity. Hafthor’s portrayal of the character has been so well received in fact that he’s now referred to as The Mountain in honor of the character he plays on TV.

Now it seems that the strongman train is in full effect with Hafthor at the helm. A recent television commercial with The Mountain is now circulating the interweb and it couples the two passions that the strongman takes most seriously: acting and athletics.
