Why The Double Rep Method Will Double Your Gains!

Unconventional Wisdom…

Like every American in 2016, you want in it all. You want a phone small enough to fit in your pocket, with a screen big enough to watch movies on, and a Carl Zeiss camera that could capture a squirrel taking a dump with crystal clear clarity from 100 yards away. Fair enough. So when we tell you the double rep exercise will add size, strength, and endurance to your already jacked muscles, we can understand why you’d be a bit skeptical, that’s why you need to read on.

-The Double Rep Method (DRM) is a form of rest-pause training. It’s a brutally effective way to increase muscle mass, build strength, and even burn some body fat.

-Simply rep out to max on an exercise of your choice. Rest briefly and then churn out another rep or two. Rest briefly again and do another rep or two. Continue in this manner until you’ve reached double the rep number of the first set.

For example, let’s say you’re doing 6 reps on your deadlift. After your initial reps rest for 5-10 seconds and then bust out one to two more reps. Rest another 5-10 seconds and do another one to two reps. Go on in this manner until you rep an additional 6 reps, totaling 12 reps.

What’s great about RPM is that it can be used for any exercise in any rep range. From leg press to bicep curls, it works. But why?

DRM increases muscle excitability. Greater excitability means greater protein degradation, and greater protein degradation equals increased muscle growth. Increased muscle growth recruits more ATP, more ATP causes greater fax oxidation.  In other words you can reduce the total amounts of reps you normally do because this type of training gets more out of the reps you are performing.

We know, you’re still a bit skeptical…so try it! Add the DRM method as an unconventional way to improve your conventional workout and watch your numbers as well as mass soar. You’ve got nothing to lose but your weak points, and everything to gainzzz.
