Tom Cruise continues to take part in crazy stunts and makes sure that his body is fueled properly.
Actor Tom Cruise has not slowed down at 62 years old. He continues to take on some intense roles in action-packed movies that require insane stunts. To prepare for his work, Cruise makes sure to fuel his body correctly and does so with a protein filled breakfast.
“I actually eat a massive breakfast. The amount of energy it takes — I train so hard for that wing-walking.”
Cruise is one of the most well-known actors across the last four decades. He burst onto the scene in the 1980s with blockbuster hits such as The Outsiders and Top Gun. He has been apart of many franchises that have only grown in popularity over the years.
Cruise has been taking part in these stunts once again while filming Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. To prepare each morning, Cruise put together a protein-packed breakfast.
Tom Cruise’s Massive Breakfast
During an interview with People, Tom Cruise shared what his breakfast looks like:
“I remember seeing old footage of wing-walking. Those aircraft were only traveling at, I don’t know, 40-50 miles an hour. This aircraft is up to over 120 miles an hour. Going out there, I was realizing that it takes your breath away.”
- 12 eggs
- Bacon
- Sausage
- Toast
- Coffee
Cruise has prepared for all kinds of stunts over the course of his career. Here, he can be seen hanging onto wings of a plane while it is going at top speed. For The Final Reckoning, Cruise would take his death-defying stunts underwater. He wanted to feel as close to the water as possible so he chose a clear mask rather than equipment given.
“You’re not going to feel as connected with the character if I went with a regular mask and a thing in my mouth to breath. Luckily, when you’re flying jets, you train for hypoxia and for carbon monoxide buildup. You start to be able to perceive your body and how it’s reacting so that I knew when to stop.”
Value Of Protein Supplements
Some great breakfast ideas to really give you the best chance at seeing gains while diversifying your appetite away from just eggs. What you may have noticed in some of these recipes is a protein powder. Protein supplements are an easy and essential way to get adequate amounts of protein into your body by just making a shake (3). The nice part is, they can be added to meals to provide protein, offer taste, and blend right into the recipe.
The number one selling beef protein isolate product is perfectly packaged in a ready-to-drink form, for the busiest of lifestyles.
