Fitness Star Zac Perna Takes On Tom Cruise’s “15 Meal Per Day” Diet Plan

Diet Plan

Zac Perna decided to try to eat like Tom Cruise did when preparing for Top Gun.

There are certain roles in Hollywood that call for an actor to have a certain physique. Sometimes, they create a crazy diet and workout plan in order to accomplish goals. Tom Cruise is no different. Preparing for Top Gun, Cruise put together a 15-meal diet plan and fitness star Zac Perna took it on as a challenge.

Perna has found great success on social media. He creates many videos trying different meal plans and workouts that athletes have shown off. Perna makes sure to eat clean and choose workouts that will keep his physique shredded.

In a video made over the summer, Perna recreated 15 meals that Cruise ate during his preparation for the movie role.

Zac Perna began the video by explaining his goals for the day. He wanted to take on the meal plan and workouts that Tom Cruise did to prepare for his role in Top Gun.

“Today’s video is all about Tom Cruise. We’re going to find out what he did to prepare for top gun.”

As he prepared the meals, Perna admitted that it was “one of the saddest meal preps” that he has ever seen. The food consisted of chicken, whitefish, rice, blueberries, and nuts.

“What we have here is each one of these we have eight let’s say you call them hot meals, 75 grams of white fish and lettuce no rice no carbs with that one. And then we have four of those, Then we have 75 grams of chicken with 25 grams of rice. That is literally a tablespoon of rice there. Now all of these are garnished beautifully with a bit of iceberg lettuce.”

Zac Perna was able to get through the meals before hitting the gym. He was worked out hard by some of the movements that Cruise does.

“He doesn’t really do your typical cardio stuff; he does kayaking, rock climbing, trekking, skiing. There’s a lot of weirdness. So in the spirit of Tom Cruise, we’re going up to the snow.”
