Halloween is upon us and in the world of bodybuilding there’s one man known for wearing an assortment of masks, something that has become as much apart of his personality as his posing routine and eccentric personality. Kai Greene is a showman in every sense of the word and seems to revel in performance. Whether it’s on stage during a guest posing or somewhere on the streets of NYC, Greene loves to put on a show. Here’s a break down on a few of the masks that Kai is best known for…

Ghost Face Mask
Probably Kai’s most memorable mask is the ghost face mask that he has touted on many occasions. For those who saw “Generation Iron” they’ll recognize the iconic mask instantly. It has become synonymous with Mr. Greene himself and immortalized on the big screen.

Ninja Mask
This ninja mask that Kai sports is a bit different than his usual look. Where the IFBB Pro usually wears masks that allow his dreadlocks to hang free, this mask subdues the bodybuilder’s recognizable hairstyle.

Gladiator Mask
Reminiscent of the gladiators of old, this spiked mask seems to match Kai’s flare for the dramatic, which ultimately encompasses the bodybuilder’s personality and approach to posing during competitions.

Lucha Libre Mask
This mask brings to mind the Mexican wrestlers of legend. Just another example of how Kai truly enjoys embracing anything outside the box.

Skull Mask
If there was ever a chance of any of these masks being a Halloween costume, there’s no doubt that Kai would be sporting this get up. Who’s more intimidating? The grim reaper or the grim reaper who can bench press 500 pounds? We’re going with option two.

Why All the Masks?
You might ask yourself, “Why does Kai wear all of these crazy masks in the first place?” Well ask no longer, Kai has the answer for you right here:
“The Reason behind the White Mask. Some chuckle and laugh and some sit with confusion. The message I am sending may not be so clear to many but clear to the few who may need the message. It’s hard to see the pain behind the mask we put forth ourselves on a daily basis. I am choosing my words careful when I say we all have a social mask. We put it on, we go about our daily lives, we put our best foot forward.. Our best image? But behind the social mask is our personal truth, who we really are, and what we’re capable of.”
