Everyone wants to look like the Terminator once in their life.
Everyone wants to train like action hero, that’s no secret. Besides the entertainment they provide, all those blockbuster action films feature actors and actresses in great physical condition. You have to be if you need to jump out of a moving train, you leap over a balcony moments before it explodes. Maybe the stars do have their stunt doubles, but they still have to look the part and that requires hard work and dedication. Keeping all that in mind we have a few workout guides from some of the greatest action stars of our day that you should definitely check out.
.
Dolph Lundgren
If you’re a fan of action movies, particularly from the 80’s and 90’s, then there’s no way you haven’t heard the name Dolph Lundgren. The man is an action movie icon whose role as the Soviet boxer Ivan Drago brought him great acclaim. A martial artist, engineer, and actor, Lundgren was one of the most talented action stars to ever do it. Like we said before the man is a talented athlete with a wealth of knowledge that any fitness fanatic would find helpful. You don’t train in as many disciplines and starred in that many action films without picking up a few mindful ideas. It looks like the action icon is of the same notion as he’s released his own book Train Like an Action Hero: Be Fit Forever. The title alone sparks enough interest to at least take a look at the content. Who the hell doesn’t want to be fit forever.
Sylvester Stallone
Another action icon with a bevvy of genre films under his belt, Sylvester Stallone is as athletically talented as his Rocky IV counter part and is one of the most recognizable actors of all time. When he burst onto the scene with his role as the Philidelphia born and raised boxer Rocky Balboa, Stallone put himself on the map and has been a household name ever since. Arguably considered the king of action films, Stallone is a self made man, writing the script and story for Rocky as well as creating a physique that has garnered him much praise in the bodybuilding community. Stallone’s Sly Moves no doubt has some info that is sure to whip you into shape and get you into fighting form.
.
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Sometimes it seems like Arnold is somehow worked into these articles, but that has less to say about our pick than it does to the fact that the Austrian Oak is the king of the game. Arnold’s foray into action films stemmed mainly from his bodybuilding background as well as his charismatic personality. So it’s no surprise that his book The Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding is a book that we think you should have in your library. The man has decades of knowledge under his belt. It’d be foolish not to at least check out this fitness guide.
