Best time to stretch your muscles
So when exactly should you stretch the muscles that are being pulverized? Well, since stretching the a cold muscle is no good in the beginning, stretching the muscle during training can weaken your lifts, then the best bet for recovery and hypertrophy is to stretch the muscles after your workout. This way there will be no diminishing returns. An example of a stretch is by holding your position at the bottom of a dumbbell flye with some moderate weight which will stretch the chest muscles thoroughly. This method has been shown to increase hypertrophy by stimulating satellite cells.
