Brandon Curry will not be in on stage at the Arnold Classic Australia 2019.

After a big win at the Arnold Classic 2019 earlier this month, Brandon Curry has announced that he will not be competing at the Arnold Classic Australia 2019 despite being originally listed in the lineup. Of course, this sort of thing happens often as the lineup is simply a list of those invited – but not necessarily confirmed.

This is also not extremely surprising for a winner of a major show like this. Just like the Mr. Olympia, the champion often doesn’t go out into the international tour of shows afterwards. The champion usually leaves that to everyone who placed just below to duke it out. And to be honest, this makes those competitions more interesting instead of a massive sweep of one bodybuilder taking the cake.

Now that doesn’t mean Brandon Curry has such a perfect physique that he could sweep across all the Arnold Classics (but it doesn’t mean he can’t either). Brandon Curry is in an interesting place in his development right now and 2019 will show if he can keep up the momentum to truly become a threat to the Mr. Olympia crown. We can’t wait to see how he pushes forward – but the Arnold Classic Australia will not be the next place we see him.
