WATCH: Flex Wheeler Talks About His View on Steroids

Flex Wheeler discusses his views on the usage of anabolic steroids.

Steroids. It’s a taboo word when it comes to athletic endeavors. Most individuals have an aversion to the anabolic substance, usually equating it with cheating and the like. For those involved in bodybuilding, the distinction between cheating and playing within the rules becomes a distinct blur.

Bodybuilding isn’t like most other competitive athletic endeavors. It’s more about an individual getting the best out of themselves and translating that over to the posing stage, proving to the rest of the world that they have the most impressive physique. Still, the stigma remains and many individuals look on bodybuilders with scorn. But if we’re to listen to long time bodybuilding competitor Kenneth “Flex” Wheeler, steroids is a far more complicated subject than how it’s presented to the public.

One of the greatest bodybuilding champions to ever compete, Flex Wheeler has a man who has garnered an incredible amount of praise and accolades over his career. Even now, at 52 years old, Flex Wheeler has been able to stay relevant with his comeback at the 2017 Olympia. He showed an impressive physique highlighted even further by his years of experience on stage.

In an interview with London Real, Flex Wheeler discusses his thoughts on the impact of steroids and why we should be looking at things from a different angle.

Do you agree with Flex Wheeler or should steroids be considered inexcusable to use?
