The prime years of Gold’s Gym are gone… but legend Franco Columbu still remembers them.

If you are on the younger side and have visited Gold’s Gym, that’s great, but you’re not really visiting the true historic gym of bodybuilding lore. It’s a new location and has now become a small chain of gyms. It’s more corporate – and while the history of the name still brings in celebrities and big bodybuilder names… it’s not the same atmosphere that made the original Golden Era legends we know today.

That’s why Ric Drasin has recently sat down with Franco Columbu to reminisce about the prime years of Gold’s Gym – and share some never before heard stories about what really went down in that legendary gym and the special moments that made it one of the best bodybuilding gyms in the world.
