Gold’s Gym is the mecca of bodybuilding – there’s no disputing that fact. It was especially the mecca in its original form back in the 70’s when the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Franco Columbu used to train there. But what made it so attractive? Was it just luck? Location? The hive mind of bodybuilders that ended up being popular? One argument can be the attitude of the gym owners towards bodybuilding culture… and the kind of equipment he purchased for the gym because of that.
