Phil Heath was the hero. Phil Heath was the villain.

A few months ago – just after the Olympia 2018 – we interviewed Phil Heath in an exclusive where he finally expressed his thoughts on his shocking loss. In that interview Phil Heath talked about the original Generation Iron film and how it made him into a villain despite being the Olympia champion. The underdog story of Kai Greene was so strong that it made him sympathetic while it made Phil Heath the made man that was meant to be toppled. That vision of Phil Heath lasted throughout his entire Olympia champion reign. He was the hero to many but also the villain to more.
