Female bodybuilding is almost dead as a viable professional sport – but will it come back?

While there are still female bodybuilding competitions in the IFBB, it is considered basically dead due to the fact that it does not appear at the Olympia weekend. It also barely appears in any IFBB Pro events compared to the many other female divisions that exist today. The argument for this is that there is just not enough interest on both the fan and athlete side of things to keep this division running. But is this really true? Some fans question it – though there has been no deep dive study into exploring the truth.

Regardless, female bodybuilding may be near dead for now, but that doesn’t mean it can’t come back. There are many videos showcasing some truly massive women on the internet.
