Weeks Out from the Olympia, Jeremy Buendia Trains Back and Discusses Bringing Up His Weaknesses

Weaknesses. We all have them, but there are certain individuals who refuse to acknowledge that fact. Some choose to just focus on their strengths and ignore their weaknesses altogether, but in the game of professional bodybuilding that simply isn’t an option.


As the 2018 Olympia fast approaches, four time Men’s Physique Olympia champion Jeremy Buendia is hard at work in the gym, hoping to defend his title one last time before moving on to the Classic Physique division. With a target on his back and no room for error, Jeremy Buendia has been training hard. But he’s not only attacking his strengths and improving upon them, he’s also looking to bring up his weak points as well.

As Jeremy Buendia prepares to defend his Olympia title, he discusses his weak points and the mentality he has in overcoming his inconsistencies.

I’ve partially torn both my hamstrings multiple times over the past few years. This is the first prep where I haven’t had a hamstring injury. My hamstrings have always been a weakness and have always been weak. They still are. But I have been really focusing on different training techniques to reactive them. I’ve always wanted great hamstrings, and it’s something I’m going to continue to work on and try to improve on. – After seeing this video from yesterday’s back workout, I could finally see some progress. – Not even gonna lie, after seeing @tristynleeofficial hamstrings the other week (yes a 15 year old) I’m more motivated than ever to build them up.
