Blowing things up too early or signs of a better physique to come?
Timing is everything when it comes to professional bodybuilding. If your timing is wrong then it can throw everything off completely. Just think about it. Even when it comes down to when individuals enter into the sport, it’s all about timing. If Phil Heath was up against Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler in their prime would he have stood a chance? Obviously you never can tell, but chances are Heath would have taken a back seat to the other two Olympia champions. The same concept is true when you consider when you a bulk should start and when it should end.
It’s hard to believe the first major competition of the year is already right around the corner, but with a new year brings new opportunities and the Arnold Classic 2016 is shaping up to be one of the more talent laden competitions outside of the Olympia. One of the great competitors looking to dominate at the prestigious show is none other than 2015 New York Pro winner Juan Morel. The veteran bodybuilder has always been impressive, but this past year showed Morel making gains like never before.
.
With eight weeks away from the competition, timing is a major factor in determining who will be the winner of the event and who will have to pick up the pieces and go back to the drawing board. Athletes will have to decide whether or not they should stop their off season bulk and begin to cut or if they should pack more muscle onto their frames before the event. Well, it seems like Morel has given the fans an answer to that question. A recent photo of the bodybuilder on Instagram shows the athlete in top condition two months out.
Morel certainly looks in top form, but we have to wonder if he’s hitting his peak condition too early out from the competition. Of course it doesn’t mean he can’t bring an even more impressive physique to the stage in March, but with such little time left between now and then it’s a question mark as to whether he can make even more improvements within eight weeks time.
What do you think? Will Juan Morel make even further development before the 2016 Arnold Classic? Let us know in the comments and forum. Also, be sure to follow Generation Iron on Facebook and Twitter.
