Chris Bumstead has built a truly impressive physique.

The Classic Physique division is filled with some of the most impressive athletes that bodybuilding has to offer. The division is not solely concerned with competitors packing on a ton of muscle. In fact, the muscle building aspect is the easy part.


What makes the Classic Physique division so intriguing is the fact that competitors must build themselves in a specific way that harkens back to the days of yore. A Classic Physique competitor has to know what they’ve packed on enough muscle to stand out while maintaining a classic silhouette to their physical form.

From what we’ve seen of current Classic Physique Olympia champion Chris Bumstead, he possesses all the qualities of a Golden Era competitor.

After battling Breon Ansley multiple times for the top spot, Chris Bumstead triumphed at the 2019 Olympia, taking the Classic Physique title in a razor thin decision. While many observers believed either man could have got the nod from the judges, it was Chris Bumstead who ended up atop the mountain.

But how exactly did Chris Bumstead prepare himself to take ultimate victory? While he may have trained in a myriad different ways, the Olympia champion has utilized the Push, Pull, Legs method to great success.
