The 2026 Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, OH has arrived! From March 5 through March 8, bodybuilders, strength athletes, and other athletes will gather to compete! In terms of strength sports, the Arnold Sports Festival features its competitive strongmanand strongwoman competition on February 6 and March 7.
The Arnold Strongman Classic (ASC) this year is going to be one for the books, as there are some top notch athletes competing, and our team at Generation Iron is going to be covering the whole thing.
The Arnold Strongwoman Classic (ASWC) also features some awesome athletes, all gunning for the title.
Ultimately, Mitchell Hooper and Olga Liashchuk won the 2026 Arnold Strongman Classic and Arnold Strongwoman Classic respectfully. Keep reading for a full breakdown of the leaderboards and eache vent.

Max Elephant Bar Deadlift
Each strongman has three attempts to hit their max lift.

Cyr Dumbbell Challenge
The second event at the 2026 Arnold Strongman Classic was the Dumbbell Challenge. This event featured several dumbbells of different weights, allowing athletes to choose which implement they wanted to attempt. Competitors were encouraged to complete as many repetitions as possible, since rep totals served as a tiebreaker for athletes who selected the same weight. The dumbbells ranged from 253 pounds (115 kilograms) to 325 pounds (147.5 kilograms). However, successfully lifting a heavier dumbbell ranked higher than any number of repetitions performed with a lighter one. Athletes had 90 seconds to complete their attempts.

Stone to Shoulder

The Stone Drag
Day two of the 2026 Arnold Strongman Classic began with the Stone Drag event. The challenge was split into two segments, starting with a 35-foot Dinnie Stone Carry. The Dinnie Stones weigh 414.5 pounds (188 kilograms) and 318.5 pounds (144.5 kilograms). Traditionally, they are carried at the same time with one in each hand. However, the athletes were also allowed to move them individually using a duck walk technique.

Austrian Oak
The second event of day two at the 2026 Arnold Strongman Classic was the Austrian Oak – a name that also served as one of the well known nicknames of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The event was essentially a log lift using a custom wooden implement. The main log weighed 430 pounds (195 kilograms), and the objective was to complete as many repetitions as possible within a 90 second time limit. Athletes also had the option to attempt a lighter log weighing 385 pounds (175 kilograms). However, even a single successful rep with the heavier log ranked higher than any number of repetitions performed with the lighter one.

Ramp Rage
The final event featured an inclined ramp previously used for the frame-carry in past competitions. This year, however, athletes carried three large sandbags instead of a frame. The sandbags weighed 300 pounds (136 kilograms), 350 pounds (158.8 kilograms), and 375 pounds (170 kilograms). The goal was to transport and load all three sandbags as quickly as possible.

Max Elephant Bar Deadlift
The Max Elephant Bar Deadlift kicked off the action on Friday morning. Lucy Underwood headlined the event with a victory while setting a new world record with a 318kg (710lb) lift.

The athletes were required to hoist the Steve Jeck / Bill Crawford Stone from the floor to their shoulder. The stone weighed 260 pounds (117 kilograms). Competitors had a two minute time limit to complete the event, with the objective of performing as many repetitions as possible.

Day two of the 2026 Arnold Strongwoman Classic began with the Stone Drag event. The competitors first had to carry two large stones with a combined weight of 425.8 pounds (193 kilograms) and load them onto a sled. After completing that task, they then had to pull the sled back to the finish line. The event was timed, placing a strong emphasis on both speed and agility.

Competitors also had the option to use a lighter 220-pound (100-kilogram) log. However, a single successful rep with the heavier log ranked higher than any number of repetitions completed with the lighter one.

Ramp Rage
The 2026 Arnold Strongwoman Classic wrapped up with the Ramp Rage event. In this challenge, the competitors carried three sandbags weighing 200 pounds (90.7 kilograms), 220 pounds (99.8 kilograms), and 240 pounds (108.9 kilograms) up an inclined ramp. The ramp had been used in previous years for the frame carry, but it was repurposed this year to create a brand new event. The objective was to transport and load all three sandbags as quickly as possible.
