Delaying the inevitable?
In this day and age bodybuilders are growing larger with every passing competition. With competition like Phil Heath and Kai Greene, there’s no doubt that an athlete must bring something new to the table in order to compete on an equal playing field. Some choose to work on getting even more lean, but a great many competitors have chosen the alternate route and have packed on muscle instead. A massive amount of muscle.
A man like Big Ramy has become successful for his ability to grow in size and compete at the highest weight in the open weight category. His improved size and definition has already sparked many powerful opinions on where the Egyptian bodybuilder will place in the upcoming Olympia. Many have him pegged as a live underdog and could possible find himself within the top three at this years competition. But it appears that notion of gaining more size isn’t exclusive to the open weight division these days.

The men’s physique class contains some of the more shredded individuals competing in the IFBB today. The Steve Cooks, Jeremy Buendias, and Ryan Terrys of the world have impressed with their aesthetic forms on stage. But recently it would appear that all eyes are on this years Arnold Festival winner Sadik Hadzovic. The man has been on a tear lately and it would seem like he’s ready to take the crown at this year’s Olympia event.
What’s he bringing to the table that so many others aren’t? You guessed it. He’s bringing added size with him when he hits the posing stage later this month. But the added muscle has got many people wondering what exactly Sadik’s intentions are. From the looks of things, the young physique competitor is putting on so much size that rumors of him shifting towards men’s open are starting to circulate and with good reason. Look at the size of the man.

Obviously Sadik is out-angling Big Ramy in this picture – but let’s be honest, if any other physique competitor tried to pull that off he’d still look like a stick next to Ramy. The fact just remains that Sadik is huge as hell on a level rarely seen in the physique division. Only time will tell if he’ll make the transition, but one thing is for certain: when the physique competition begins, Sadik is looking to be the biggest man on stage come Olympia weekend.
