Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Dietary Swaps

Arnold Schwarzenegger broke down some minor changes that can be made within your diet to improve heart health and it began with more grains. Schwarzenegger referenced BMC Medicine when making his points.

“A new study suggests that eating more nuts, whole grains, and legumes could reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes.”

Schwarzenegger claims that the research stated that replacing one serving of processed meat with whole grains or nuts could reduce the risk of heart disease by 36%. Processed meats includes hot dogs or deli meats.

“The research did not say you could never eat processed or red meat. Instead, it’s about limiting those foods, eating more foods loaded with fiber, and managing the total amount of saturated fat you consume.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger has made the necessary changes in his diet plan and now wants to share his wisdom with others. The key is to make small changes at first so you want to continue.

“If you want to take the stress out of dieting and see long-term success, start by making small, sustainable changes. Trying to change everything at once — or removing everything you love — tends to be a short-term fix that leads to long-term frustration.”
