“This isn’t about perfection or memorizing a meal plan. Start with whichever behavior feels easiest, focus on building the habit, and work on doing it repeatedly.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger moved to America in 1968 at 21 years old and began pursuing a career in bodybuilding. It did not take long for him to become the most famous name in bodybuilding, as well as the community outside of it. He has also led quite an eccentric life — a 4-time Mr. Universe champion, and 7-time Mr. Olympia champion, an Emmy-award winning actor, and a two-term governor of California. The Arnold Sports Festival, which has been held annually since 1989, is named after him as well, and now held in multiple countries each year.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Talks New Diet Study
Arnold Schwarzenegger broke down a study in a recent edition of Arnold’s Pump Club that could help your longevity despite genetics.
The study featured over 103,000 people who followed different diet plans. It monitored a range of different dietary patterns for over a decade and the findings were eye-opening.
“The study followed participants for roughly a decade and evaluated their diets using the Mediterranean, DASH, plant-based, AHEI, and Diabetes Risk Reduction patterns. People who scored highest on any of the five had up to a 24% lower risk of dying.”
Arnold linked this to “1.5 to 3 additional years of life expectancy.” Genetics is another factor that was studied and despite any disadvantages, those who ate better still have a chance of living longer.
“They mapped each person’s longevity genes, and the dietary benefits held regardless. Even people without favorable genetics gained years by eating better. The Diabetes Risk Reduction Diet appeared especially protective for those genetically predisposed to shorter lifespans.”
Schwarzenegger has done many things over the years to improve his health, including changing his diet plans. He is also interested in the impact that it has on the environment. He mentions that pollution is a major factor in the United States. Schwarzenegger claims that eating less meat means that less and less forests will be cleared, ultimately creating more food for animals.
These diet plans studied did not have many similarities but all featured fruits, vegetable, whole grains, nuts, and legumes.
“That overlap matters because it suggests the foundation of a longevity-supporting diet isn’t about picking the “right” team. It’s about getting the basics consistently right.”
