After weeks of uncertainty and multiple missed opportunities due to travel complications, Behrouz Tabani is officially a go for the 2026 China Pro.
According to updates shared by RX Muscle and coach Milos Sarcev, the Iranian Open bodybuilder has finally received approval for his Chinese visa, clearing the way for him to compete this weekend at the China Pro. The contest serves as one of the final opportunities to qualify for the 2026 Mr. Olympia, making the approval one of the biggest breaking stories of the bodybuilding week.
Visa issues forced Tabani to sit out several important contests this season, despite being considered one of the strongest Olympia-caliber athletes still searching for qualification.
Visa Rejection Nearly Ended His China Pro Plans
Just days ago, Sarcev revealed that Tabani’s initial visa application had unexpectedly been denied.
According to Sarcev, Tabani immediately submitted a second application only three days before the latest update while continuing to train and diet as though he would still make the contest.
Sarcev said there was still hope even if the approval came late in the week, saying Tabani was prepared to board the first available flight to China and compete on Sunday if necessary.
“The level of stress this man has endured is hard for most of us to even imagine,” Sarcev wrote at the time.
Despite the uncertainty, Tabani never altered his preparation, remaining committed to his contest prep while waiting for a decision.
That persistence has now paid off.
Latest Physique Update Shows Tabani Ready to Challenge for Olympia Qualification
Alongside the visa announcement, Tabani also released a new physique update just four days before stepping on stage.
The latest posing footage shows the Iranian standout displaying the trademark combination of dense muscle, roundness, and conditioning that has made him one of the most dangerous competitors outside the Olympia lineup.
His side chest pose highlights tremendous upper-body thickness, while his most muscular demonstrates the dense shoulders, chest, and arms that have become his calling card in the Open division.
Many fans already label Tabani one of the favorites heading into the China Pro now that he has finally resolved his travel situation.
