Behrouz Tabani Out of 2026 Empro Classic After Visa Denial
Extremely disappointing news for bodybuilding fans hoping to see one of the sport’s most dangerous dark horses take the stage this weekend. Iranian bodybuilding star Behrouz Tabani has officially withdrawn from the 2026 Empro Classic. Once again Tabani is dealing with visa issues that prevented him from traveling to the event.
Generation Iron just highlighted Tabani as one of the most intriguing names in the Empro Classic lineup. Many fans viewed him as a legitimate threat to challenge for the title and potentially punch his ticket to the 2026 Mr. Olympia.
Behrouz Tabani’s Frustrating Battle With Travel Restrictions
Unfortunately, this is not a new story for Tabani.
Over the past several years, the Iranian standout has repeatedly found himself sidelined by travel and visa complications despite earning his place among the world’s elite bodybuilders. The situation has prevented fans from seeing him compete consistently against the sport’s top names and has arguably slowed his momentum during some of the most important years of his career.
When he has been able to step onstage, however, Tabani has shown exactly why many consider him one of the most underrated athletes in the Men’s Open division. He earned the top prize at the 2025 Dubai Pro.
Known for his granite conditioning, dense muscle maturity, and freakish back development, Tabani has built a reputation as an athlete capable of upsetting more established stars whenever he is able to make it to a contest.
A Major Loss for the Empro Classic Lineup
The timing is especially unfortunate given the excitement surrounding this year’s Empro Classic.
Tabani was one of the standout names featured in preview coverage leading into the show and was expected to be part of several compelling battles in the Men’s Open division. His absence removes one of the most experienced and dangerous competitors from the lineup and could significantly alter the outcome of the contest.
For fans, it’s another reminder that qualifying for and competing in professional bodybuilding often involves challenges that extend far beyond training, nutrition, and posing.
Behrouz Tabani Turns to Flex Pro Italy
While missing the Empro Classic is undoubtedly a setback, Tabani’s season is far from over.
According to the update from his team, his next planned appearance will be at the 2026 Flex Pro Italy, where he will once again attempt to make his mark in a competitive Men’s Open field.
If history is any indication, Tabani will arrive in elite condition and eager to make up for lost time.
For now, bodybuilding fans will have to wait a little longer to see one of the division’s most respected international competitors back under the bright lights of an IFBB Pro League stage.
