Blessing Awodibu Will Skip The 2023 Arnold Classic

Blessing Awodibu intends to let his body heal and rest before coming back at a later date in 2023.

Popular bodybuilder Blessing Awodibu has chosen to skip the 2023 Arnold Classic. After a busy 2022 schedule, including the Olympia this past December, Blessing is choosing to sit out the Arnold this year in hopes of coming back stronger at a later date.

It can be tough to fall short of expectations. The pressure on an athlete’s shoulders to perform under the bright lights can be quite a daunting feeling. When things don’t go as planned it forces an athlete to sit back and strongly analyze what went wrong with their performance. If you choose to ignore your failings then you have no chance of improving. If one accepts their failings and choose to work on them then they have a chance of making some solid improvements. It appears that Blessing Awodibu is choosing the latter approach.

Blessing Awodibu had a pretty rough performance at the 2022 Olympia and as such has a lot of things to consider moving forward in his career. After placing outside the top fifteen, Blessing likely was less than pleased with his performance at the show. As such it appears that the popular bodybuilder is ready to do what’s necessary to improve. That includes skipping the 2023 Arnold Classic.

Skipping the Arnold

While a win at the Arnold Classic would punch his ticket for the 2023 Olympia, Blessing Awodibu is choosing to wait until later in the year to return to the stage. In a recent Instagram post Blessing expressed that he wished to give his body time to recover before jumping back into competition.

Huge thanks to the @arnoldsports for the invite, one of my all time favourite show 🙏🏾. but unfortunately I will not be doing the Arnold this year.

Going off completely for almost 3 months after Indy and New York shows and travelling really affected my Olympia prep negatively, I definitely lost some muscle mass and I didn’t have enough time to fill out my physique before the Olympia.

So right now I’m just giving my body the much needed time to bring my shape back before any prep.

Expect a crazy comeback later this year from.

Blessing Awodibu appears to be in good spirits while acknowledging that there’s work to be done. With his declaration that his comeback will be crazy, Blessing appears ready to take his weaknesses into account and improve upon them in order to deliver his best physique.

What do you think of Blessing Awodibu skipping the 2023 Olympia?
