Breon Ansley will put his plans in Men’s 212 on hold and return to Classic Physique.
Bodybuilder Breon Ansley is back where he is most comfortable.
After setting the initial goal of moving to Men’s 212, Ansley announced that he will put this on hold and return to Classic Physique for the 2025 Olympia. Ansley has taken on other ventures in his life and this caused prep for 212 to be put on hold.
Ansley took to social media to make the announcement on Wednesday.
“After a whole lot of thought I have decided to compete at this years’ Olympia in the Classic Division! I know some of you might know I made the decision to compete in the 212 division this year however due to traveling and potential business opportunities the process of preparing for the 212 got away from me”
Breon Ansley Back in Classic Physique
Ansley put together an extremely successful career in Classic Physique. He began his amateur career in 2012 and earned his Pro Card the very next year by winning the NPC USA Championships. He quickly rose to the top of Classic Physique, winning his first Olympia at the 2017 Olympia. Ansley continued to improve as he won both the 2018 Arnold Classic and the 2018 Olympia.
The initial to move to 212 included thoughts on the weight cap in Classic. Ansley believes that this held him back from bringing the best physique to the stage. That was the plan in 212 but it has been put on hold.
“Ultimately I was beginning to not feel great thinking about the Olympia passing by and not being up there!! The feeling of goosebumps while thinking about being up there was the other emotion and you definitely can’t pass moments like this as they won’t always be here!! So here we go!! Classic!!”

Ansley has been confident in his abilities since bursting onto the scene in his career. That has not changed as he prepares to return to Classic.
“As always I have been confident enough to win and nothing has changed!! There is No Ordinary Love when it comes to this because yes I have a lot of work to do but it excites the hell out of me to get busy with it!!”
