Calum Von Moger believes the Classic Physique Olympia 2020 will be between Breon Ansley and Chris Bumstead… with a slight edge for Breon.

We are now officially less than one week away from the Olympia 2020 weekend. After a series of postponements and location changes, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel for the biggest bodybuilding show of the year. That means we’ll also get a chance to see if Breon Ansley is able to get revenge for his loss to Chris Bumstead last year. In our latest GI Exclusive interview, Calum Von Moger weighs in on who he thinks will win the Classic Physique Olympia 2020.

We’ve interviewed both Breon Ansley and Chris Bumstead in the months leading up to the Olympia 2020. Both men are hungry as hell to earn the Olympia title this year. For Chris Bumstead, it’s all about defending his big win last year. For Breon Ansley, it’s a chance to prove himself and reclaim the title. It will certainly be an exciting highlight of the Olympia weekend as both competitors are looking on point.

While it’s obvious that both of these competitors believe they will be the winner – we wanted to get some outside perspective on what we can predict as well. That’s why during our video conversation with Calum Von Moger, we asked for his predictions of the Classic Physique Olympia 2020 competition.

Calum Von Moger has just earned his own pro card in Classic Physique last month at the NPC Universe competition. After a few years of hurdles – he’s back on track and hoping to one day be a Classic Physique Olympia champion himself. Until then, he’s watching the division closely.

He admits that this year the division will likely come down to either Breon Ansley or Chris Bumstead. He sees Breon training in the gym regularly – so he’s had an inside look into his progress. From what he’s seen, Calum thinks that Breon will have the slight edge. Though Calum also admits he has seen updates from Chris Bumstead far less often.

At the end of the day, if Calum Von Moger were a betting man, he would place his bets on Breon Ansley. He thinks at his best his genetics lend towards a more favorable physique. But since both competitors are so close year after year – nothing is a guarantee.

“Chris has got the height and I feel like Breon has got the better shape or ratio type of thing… so maybe Breon,” Calum Von Moger states during our interview. He continues:

“Maybe he’ll get his comeback and his redemption. I wouldn’t be surprised if Breon takes it out. Only because I’ve seen him and I’ve seen his conditioning and where he’s at right now. He’s just transformed. It’s like every day he’s changing. I wouldn’t be surprised if he won it. But let’s see. It’s hard to say.”

We then go on to look towards the future. A time when Calum Von Moger won’t be making predictions but instead be competing along side Breon and Chris as a top contender at the Olympia.

That’s Calum’s goal. He knows that he will need a bit more time to keep building and perfecting his physique after some setbacks due to injury. But he still has his eye on the prize and with nothing left in his way – he plans to be up there on the Olympia stage very soon.
