Chris Bumstead has made changes to his diet in retirement.
Chris Bumstead put together a legendary career on the bodybuilding stage. The 6x Classic Physique Olympia champion has been enjoying retirement and changing up both his workouts and diet plan. During a recent video, Bumstead shared different thoughts on how his diet plan has switched up to improve his gut health. This includes a breakfast shake that he has been making each morning to help his overall gut health.

“I need to cut out processed foods, sugar, grains, eggs, gluten. I’m weening out of there.”
After winning his sixth Classic Physique Olympia title in October 2024, Bumstead announced that he would be retiring. He took the stage one final time during the EVLS Prague Pro in Men’s Open and finished as the runner-up. Now, he is taking on new challenges and goals while remaining as big as possible.
Bumstead has remained extremely active in the gym while sharing his new fitness journey with fans on social media. While his goals might be different, Bumstead remains productive in hitting these new marks.

Chris Bumstead’s Breakfast Shake
Bumstead put together this shake to help aid in gut health as he changes his diet in retirement:
- Blueberries
- Bone Broth
- Whey Protein Powder
- Creatine
- MCT Oil
- Either Coconut Milk, Almond Milk, or Water
- Supplement Powder w/ Glutamine, Licorice Root, Aloe Vera, Marshmallow Root, Zinc Carnosine
“This is my breakfast and I’m just trying to change up the way I eat. I’m just The predominant thing with this shake, I’m still trying to do low carb in the morning because I feel better like that.”
Chris Bumstead puts all ingredients into a blender and downs the drink to start his action-packed day. This shake features different products that will help in many ways, including inflammation and helping muscle support and digestion.

Chris Bumstead has left the door slightly open on a return to competition but for now, he seems content in retirement. If he is to make a return, many would be interested to see if it would be in Men’s Open or another division.
Bumstead has taken plenty of time to find new methods and routines that work best for him in retirement. In his diet plan, this shake has become one of his favorites.
