Chris Bumstead has changed his plans for breakfast since his competition days ended.
Bodybuilding champion, Chris Bumstead is done competing on stage but he continues to work toward different goals here in 2025. This means different forms of training and a different diet plan outside of the gym. Recently, Bumstead shared his new plan for breakfast and how he starts his day.

After winning his sixth Classic Physique Olympia title in October 2024, Bumstead announced that he would be retiring. He took the stage one final time during the EVLS Prague Pro in Men’s Open and finished as the runner-up. Now, he is taking on new challenges and goals while remaining as big as possible.
“Breakfast these days is whatever I’m feeling and whatever’s in the fridge.”
Bumstead has changed his plans for his first meal of the day, adding different fuel sources and creating bigger meals than usual.
Chris Bumstead Talks New Plan For Breakfast
Bumstead shared a new breakfast of champions that he has focused on each morning. It includes a higher portion of carbs to prepare for the day. It typically includes some combination of:
- Eggs
- Avocado
- Almond Butter
- Protein Fiber Greens
- Red Meat Sausage
- Bagels or Ezekiel Bread
- Cream Cheese
“I normally don’t train in the morning but I feel like if I do, I should have a higher-carb breakfast. Just for the fact that I trained in the morning but f*ck it. This is what I’ve been eating.”
In this particular video, Bumstead put together a breakfast of:
- 4 eggs
- 112g beef
- Toast
- Almond butter
- Lactose-free cream cheese
“I have a keto breakfast with carbs. Honestly, I’ve been eating red meat like three times a day lately.”
Chris Bumstead is not eating as often as he was when he was competing but has increased volume in specific meals.
“Typically now, I goto the office and I’ll have like one meal. Maybe a shake or a snack. I’m not eating as many meals but they’re bigger now.”
