DON’T BE THIS GUY AT THE GYM

Generation Iron Dodgeball That Guy

Sometimes there’s no avoiding running into this guy.

There comes a time in every gym goers journey to getting swole where you come across something you’ve never expected. Something that you would have never thought you’d see at the gym. That’s right. The gym jackass is almost a proud position to be filled by someone who thinks they have a bright idea when it comes to working out, but really, they’re just making asses of themselves.

Now don’t get us wrong, sometimes it’s refreshing to see the gym jackass make a fool of himself, come up with some new exercise that will give them the “ultimate gains”. But really, that stuff gets old pretty fast and those same funny jackasses you’d point and laugh at soon become a nuisance that must be dealt with.

Take this guy for example. We don’t know what the hell he was thinking, but we do know he’s making a jackass of himself.

We don’t know about you, but we’re thinking this is an exercise fail waiting to happen. Maybe the whole thing works in theory, but what happens when he messes up and busts his ass? Are you just gonna sit there, point and laugh? Maybe. We’d probably join in with you if we could. But once the laughter settles down then you’ve gotta ask yourself something. Do you really want this guy representing your gym like this? The gym is your holy temple, your sacred ground. Having it filled with jackasses will only make a mockery of you and everything you believe.

So here’s our suggestion. Go over to the next jackass who messes up at the gym and show them how to be a real gym rat. It’ll be hard, it’ll be a bit frustrating, but who knows, maybe you’ll discover that you’re an awesome trainer. See. There’s a silver lining for everything.
