“The fight is on. I have been trying to get into MMA for a long time now and the time has come. The deal landed on my lap to fight Mariusz Pudzianowski.”
Hall was previously preparing to take on former World’s Strongest Man champion Mitchell Hooper in the ring before the event was cancelled. He began looking for his next opponent and set his sights on Pudzianowski, who has experience in the ring. Like Hall, Pudzianowski is a former World’s Strongest Man who has made the transformation into a fighter.
In January, Hall was asked about a dream fight in the ring and he brought up Pudzianowski right away. He discussed the experience the five-time WSM has in the ring and how he has “f*cked up” some other good fighters in the past. Now, it looks like he will get a chance to make his dream a reality.
Eddie Hall Announces Fight With Mariusz Pudzianowski
Hall made the announcement via social media. It will be sanctioned by KSW and be made up of four-minute rounds.
“I am fighting Mariusz Pudzianowski. That sounds ridiculous to say. I have to lost a lot of weight. We are fighting four-minute rounds because Mariusz wouldn’t drop down below four minutes. I wanted to go two minutes, MMA rules so pretty much anything goes.”
Hall has spoken about the ability of Pudzianowski in the ring before. His notion has not changed but he is excited for the opportunity.
“Am I scared? Yes, I am scared. Mariusz is just a ferocious fighter. He is so violent in the way he explodes and he has knocked so many people out.
There is no doubt that at some point Mariusz has been top three to five in MMA in Europe, which is a hell of an accolade. That is like one of the most dangerous men on the planet.”
Eddie Hall referenced weight that he plans to lose for the fight. This would not be the first time as he was able to go through an insane physique transformation ahead of his boxing debut in 2021. Recently, Hall took on the carnivore challenge for 90 days ahead of December 2024 and was able to get great results. He shared a video on YouTube explaining his process and sharing his weight loss of 19.6 pounds. Hall shared his current weight of 350.5 pounds and body fat of just 19.9%. It will be interesting to see how Hall attacks his prep for this fight.
