Hall was preparing to take on reigning World’s Strongest Man champion Mitchell Hooper in the ring before the event was cancelled. He is now looking for his next opponent and has his sights set on Mariusz Pudzianowski, who has experience in the ring. Like Hall, Pudzianowski is a former World’s Strongest Man who has made the transformation into a fighter.

During the 2016 World Deadlift Championships, Hall became the first person to deadlift 500kg (1,102.3lb). The very next year, he was crowned champion of the World’s Strongest Man event and solidified his spot as one of the best in Strongman. Hall took a step back from powerlifting to take on boxing. He made a significant physique transformation and took on fellow strongman Hafthor Bjornsson.

Eddie Hall shared what a day in his life looks like.

Eddie Hall Takes Kick From Rico Verhoeven

The former WSM spent the day with Verhoeven, training and eating a balanced diet plan, to prepare for his future in MMA. During a sparring session, Hall took a kick to the thigh and felt the effects right away.

“Don’t even hurt 🥴”

This is not the first time that Hall has collaborated with fighters. Earlier this year, he was knocked down by UFC heavyweight Tom Aspinall. Hall shared the video to his YouTube page and even included the word “Knockout” in the title of the video. It begins with the two fighters performing warmup drills then stepping into the ring. Shortly after the sparring began, Hall catches a kick in thread that knocked him down and left him rattled.

Hall has been working to get in the ring since his original fight with Hooper was cancelled. It is clear that he is determined and is working with some of the best in the world to prepare.
