Erin Banks does not plan to retire from competitive bodybuilding despite rumors.
Men’s Physique’s Erin Banks is one of the great stories in bodybuilding and that story will not be ending anytime soon. Despite recent rumors and speculation about Banks retiring from competition, he claims that he will carry on. The former Olympia champ made a statement on social media as he prepares for 2025.

The journey never really ends, and I’m good with that. Life is bigger than any title or trophy! It’s about who you become along the way and the impact you leave behind. That’s what makes the grind worth it.”
Banks earned his first Olympia title in 2022 by defeating three-time champion Brandon Hendrickson. He returned the following year but fell short to Ryan Terry. Banks fell down the scorecard once again this year sparking discussions about his future in bodybuilding.
Banks has one Olympia title under his belt, along with two Arnold Classic titles and victories at the New York Pro and Dubai Pro.

Erin Banks entered the sport of bodybuilding with an impressive physique that led to many victories on stage. While this was the focus early on, he admitted that it changed over time.
“When I started competing, I thought the goal was to collect titles, but I didn’t know what to expect. All I saw was competition. Maybe I approached it the wrong way, trying to prove my doubters wrong, when I should’ve focused on proving my supporters right.”

Banks’ statement continued to discuss what bodybuilding has done for him over the years. It has allowed him to live a healthier life and create opportunities he is thankful for.
“You might hear me say, “It’s just bodybuilding,” but don’t get it twisted, I love this shit. Bodybuilding gave me the ability to support my family, invest in new opportunities, travel the world, and transform my life from being unhealthy and overweight to something I’m proud of.”
Finally, Banks believes that his work is not just about winning. While he continues to strive for victories, he is focused on becoming better every day.
“The titles? Come and go. What really matters is how you grow through the process and use what you’ve learned to inspire and uplift others. For me, It’s not just about winning anymore, it’s about becoming the best version of myself every day and helping others do the same.”
