Flex Wheeler has gone through a lot in the last couple of years. The legendary bodybuilder made a tremendous comeback to the stage at the 2017 Olympia. It was a truly remarkable feat and showed that the legend still had tons of resolve left in him.

Then hardship struck.

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, UNITED STATES, October 24, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — LAS VEGAS …………………………………… Kenneth “FLEX” Wheeler, the legendary/iconic professional bodybuilder and 4 time winner of the Arnold Classic, released his first and only “OFFICIAL” statement today pertaining to his emergency surgery last week which required the partial amputation of his right leg. FLEX stated ………………………………… “I would like to thank all of my fans and bodybuilding colleagues for your prayers and support during this difficult time for me and my family. My surgery was required due to escalating circulation difficulties in my right leg that had become life threatening. Flex Wheeler was faced with a truly tough option, amputate his leg or potentially risk death. It was no doubt one of the hardest decisions of the bodybuilder’s life. Having a lifestyle based on athletics would be greatly shifted from such a procedure. Throughout his life Flex Wheeler has engaged in not only bodybuilding but the martial arts as well. The leg amputation would no doubt greatly impact him.


Now Flex Wheeler has released even more images of the results of his leg amputation. The Instagram post below is extremely graphic and not for the faint of heart. Be warned, this is a tough image to see.

Flex Wheeler has been through a great deal, yet despite that he continues to battle back. Here’s hoping that the legendary bodybuilder continues on the road to recovery and acceptance.
