Kane has kept his physique in shape ready for whatever comes his way.
Aldo Kane has made a habit of taking on and completing incredible expeditions. The former Royal Marines Commando has gone from a world-record adventurer to survival expert on TV during his career. At 48 years old, Kane has continued to train at an extremely high level to keep himself ready for his next journey. He shared his overall plans in a recent conversation with Men’s Health.
“I’ve been training five days a week since I was about 15.”
Kane has put together a strict workout and diet plan based on his goals. He has been training multiple times a week using different workouts and cardio routines.
Aldo Kane’s Workout Routine
Aldo Kane has continued to do many bodyweight exercises that he grew up using in the Marines. He also does cardio twice a week to stay in shape in case anything pops up.
“In my head, I need to be able to run 10 miles at the drop of a hat.”
Kane’s daily workout includes:
Kane’s cardio consists of running or bike work. He shared that he either does 40 minutes on the bike or will crank out a specific routine like Norwegian 4×4 protocol for VO2 max.
Aldo Kane’s Diet Plan
Kane admits to keeping his diet plan simple when he is at home. This includes plenty of protein. When he is out on the job, it is more difficult to keep his diet in check.
Breakfast

“I eat three times a day. I have breakfast every morning with the kids around 6am.”
Lunch
For lunch, it is typically something simple like a sandwich, especially if he is on the run.
Dinner
- Pasta
- Red Meat
- Chicken
- Venison
“With the kids, we rely quite heavily on pasta because it’s easy to prepare. I’ve never counted my calories, but I know my base metabolic rate is around 1,650 calories.”
