Good Vito was denied a European visa but was approved for a U.S. visa.
Vitaliy Ugolnikov, known as Good Vito in the bodybuilding world, is one of the up-and-comers at the professional level. Fans have been waiting for his debut but will have to wait a little longer after recent developments. Ugolnikov shared on Instagram that he has been denied a European visa but approved for U.S. This means he will have to change his plans to compete.
In December, Good Vito made the jump from the IFBB Elite Pro League to the NPC. Usually, competitor make this jump in hopes of earning their Pro Card and eventually competing on the Olympia stage. Ugolnikov already proved himself in the Russian bodybuilding world and will now look to take a step up.
Of course, Good Vito is not the latest athlete to make the switch. In July, Michal Krizofinally joined the NPC after being one of the biggest stars in the IFBB Elite Pro League. He has impressed many early on during training as he also prepares to earn his Pro Card.
On Wednesday, Good Vito took to social media to share an update with his fans on the current situation.
Good Vito: “I Need To Adjust The Plan”
Visa issues have prevented many competitors from appearing in certain shows. Now, Good Vito will have to adjust his plans moving forward if he wants to qualify for the Olympia.
“Friends I’ll share my news with you. The bad news is that I’ve been denied my European visa and won’t be allowed to enter the championships in Italy and Spain. The good news is I have been approved for a US visa and still preparing myself to qualify for the Mr Olympia. American visa will let me pick any championship this year and now I’m adjusting my goal.”

Ugolnikov also shared that during this time, he will get a chance to focus on his family. He is expecting the birth of his son soon and will now be able to be there for his wife during this time.
“I’ve been very busy preparing for these championships, but now my light is that I will be able to see the birth of my first child, pay more attention and help my wife, may the Lord want me to support my wife during this difficult time for her. Continue study hard remain focused on my goal. I promise to all those who support me that I will do my best to win this year!”
Despite a small setback, the plan for Good Vito is still to compete this year and win a show to gain qualification. It will be interesting to see which show he chooses in the U.S., since he has been approved a visa. If he can win a title soon, it is likely that Ugolnikov will make an appearance during the biggest show of the year.
