Ivan Makarov impresses at recent meet with a massive deadlift.

Russian powerlifter Ivan Makarov impressed in a recent meet as he hit a 483 kg/1064 lb deadlift. The Russian powerhouse made the feat look as he hefted the weight utilizing straps and lifting suit.

Always looking to improve his strength and prove he’s the best powerlifter in the world Ivan Makarov has no quit. The deadlift in particular appears to be Makarov’s bread and butter lift and he has proven time and again that he’s one of the best in the world in that department.

At a recent meet Ivan Makarov once again showcased his deadlifting ability. The Russian powerlifter pulled a whopping 483 kgs or 1064 lbs at the meet. Those are some truly impressive numbers to say the least. Makarov made the lift look easy and vowed that he is still on the hunt for the world record.

483 KG ❗ MAXIMUM REPOST ????

It was the best day of my life. Emotions were overflowing, yesterday I was ready for 505 kg, but left them for September 6 for the World Championships to raise interest in the record.

I moved to a place where I always wanted to live, changed my attitude to my life and health, began to appreciate every day of my life, love my wife more ❤️, devoted myself to my favorite thing – to train people. I found the inner freedom that gave me limitless strength.

I thank the organizer of the competition sepp maurer.

I really felt at home, the atmosphere, the audience are all top notch.

There are many high-profile victories and records ahead ????

Plans for the Future

Back in 2021 Ivan Makarov declared that he would break the 505 kg set by 2018 World’s Strongest Man Hafthor Bjornsson. While over a year has past since that declaration, Bjornsson still seems poised and ready to shatter the record and etch his name into the history books. With this feat of strength Makarov is converting many into believers and could very well be the man to challenge for the world record.

What do you think of Ivan Makarov and this impressive deadlift?
