Jeff Nippard was joined by Larry Wheels for this session and shared tips of the trade.
Jeff Nippard was back at it again sharing different tips of the trade during a chest workout. This time, he was joined by Larry Wheels following his performance that earned him him IFBB Pro Card.
Nippard’s dedication to bodybuilding led him to win the title of Mr. Junior Canada at 22. As a powerlifter, he boasts impressive lifts: a 502-pound squat, a 336-pound bench press, and a 518-pound deadlift, achieving an all-time best Wilks score of 446.
Wheels earned his Pro Card by winning the Classic Physique division at the 2025 Musclecontest Bullman Pro Qualifier, held in Dublin last weekend. He took the stage after being a late entry following a six-week prep.
The two joined forces for a chest workout where Nippard discussed some major topics around building muscle.
Jeff Nippard & Larry Wheels Chest Workout
Larry Wheels and Jeff Nippard took part in a chest workout that consisted of four different exercises:
Incline Barbell Press
When targeting the upper chest, Jeff Nippard picked out the incline press as the best exercise. He opts to perform this exercise first but does not believe that this is necessary, depending on the person.
“My No. 1 pick would probably be some kind of incline press. I usually do an incline barbell press again because of that strength background. The more tools in your toolbox, the more tools you have available to get the job done.”
Pec Deck Fly
There are many variations to performing the pec deck fly. Nippard prefers to use a bench but there are many other versions that bring great benefits.
“I feel like it’s kind of personal choice at this point. As long as you can get a deep stretch and feel the tension through the range of motion. I think about driving my elbows together and keeping them up, though, not letting them dip down rather than just the hands together.”
Cambered Bar Bench Press Machine
The cambered bar bench press machine was pegged as a simple but effective movement during chest day.
“You can definitely build a good physique with traditional stuff but I would say it gives you a slight edge because it gives you extra. You still have all the basic but now you got a little extra.”
Cable Front Raise
The final exercise of the session hit shoulders. It is important to power through the end of your workout with high levels of energy.
“I use two re-feed days. I’m really trying to fill out and get a performance boost that’s going to carry me through the week.”
