Julius Maddox continues to show off his super-human strength on the bench.

Julius Maddox is working toward his new goal on the bench press while hitting new marks along the way. The MHP powerlifter continues to display his insane strength during training session and this includes hitting a new rep PR. During a recent workout, Maddox was able to put up 501 pounds 17 times.

Maddox currently holds the all-time bench press mark, which he set at 782 pounds in February 2021 during the World Raw Powerlifting Federation Hybrid Showdown III. From this moment on, he set his sights on being the first man to bench press 800 pounds raw. He attempted this challenge for the first time in 2021 at Wrigley Field but ended with two failed attempts. This was the second time that Maddox loaded up 800 pounds. In 2020, he suffered an injury during an attempt because the bar was misloaded.

In March, Maddox completed a 737-pound bench press during a training session in the United Arab Emirates. There is no current timeline on when, or if, he will pursue the 800-pound lift but by the looks of his recent workouts, Maddox is making sure he is in the best position possible.

Julius Maddox Sets New Rep PR With 501 Pounds

Julius Maddox loaded up 501 pounds on the bar and pumped out reps with ease early on in the set. He had enough in the tank to set a new PR with 17 reps.

Julius Maddox’s Supplement Stack: The Key To His Record Breaking Strength

Julius Maddox continues to be one of the top bench press athletes in the world today. He continues to push himself beyond his limits and he knows how to fuel for workouts and for recovery. Maddox, who is an MHP athlete, shared some of his favorite products to use before and after workouts.

Before hitting a heavy bench session, Maddox fuels up with MHP Hyper Crush Pre-Workout, a high-stim formula packed with caffeine and nootropics such as huperzine and N-acetyl L-tyrosine to boost energy and focus, Lifting heavy starts in the mind so you have to be not just amped-up but laser focused.

A tired muscle is a weak muscle, and MHP HYPER CRUSH Pre-Workout delivers extreme energy, amazing pumps, more muscle power, and combats muscle fatigue with potent levels of clinically researched ingredients.

By delaying muscle fatigue, it allows for increased workload capacity and time under tension. It’s this increased workload and time under tension that helps you break through plateaus to make gains in muscle size and strength.

Post-workout, Maddox shifts his focus to recovery with MHP Dark Matter, an advanced carb, amino acid, creatine and protein matrix designed to replenish glycogen stores and kickstart muscle repair. Training at extreme intensity levels depletes the body’s resources of glycogen and ATP fast, but Dark Matter’s fast-absorbing formula ensures he gets the nutrients he needs to recover and grow.

Even though Dark Matter is typically used for post-workout, Julius also likes to drink Dark Matter during his workouts, The continual replenishment of carbs, protein, amino acids and creatine while he is working out ensures he is running on full and not on reserve. This is key for Maddox, as recovery is just as crucial as the lifts themselves when aiming for record-breaking performances.
