Kristoffer Berner was an up-and-coming star in the Men’s Open division.
IFBB Pro bodybuilder Kristoffer Berner has passed away at 43 years old, according to multiple reports. Berner, who was known as The Danish Giant, died two days ago and the cause of death is unknown at this point.
Berner was an athlete who found a passion for fitness at a young age and turned it into a career in bodybuilding. He loved training and became known for his big personality.

The Career Of Kristoffer Berner
Kristoffer Berner was preparing to compete this weekend at the 2024 Chicago Pro. He last competed at the New York Pro, where he finished 16th in Men’s Open.
In 2017, Berner competed at the Amateur Olympia San Marino, where he finished fourth. He made an impression with his physique and went onto compete at the NPC level. Berner earned his Pro Card following his victory at the 2022 NPC Worldwide Sweden Grand Prix. This allowed him to compete in the IFBB.

The passing of Kristoffer Berner follows an unfortunate string of deaths in the sport of bodybuilding. Over the weekend, NPC bodybuilder Danny Broadhurst passed away suddenly over the weekend at 32 years old. Broadhurst competed twice in 2024 as he continued to work toward earning his Pro Card. In 2022, the bodybuilder suffered an ankle injury that required a pause in training as he recovered fully. As time went on, Broadhurst recovered from his injury and built his physique back up to an elite level.
