Kyle Kirvay has taken on a new challenge of becoming one of the world’s best powerlifters.
Pro bodybuilder Kyle Kirvay has taken on new challenges in powerlifting. He has been working toward increasing his strength and has reached goals and then some. Now, Kirvay has his sights set on becoming one of the strongest men on the planet.
On Sunday, Kirvay shared a video where he sets a new squat PR of 855 pounds for three reps. In his caption, he shares very specific plans.
“History in the making. 9 plates each side, 855 lbs / 388 kg squat triple PR. Much love to all of you for being a part of my journey to represent the highest level of strength training and to become the strongest raw powerlifter of all time. 🐅 We’re just getting started.”
Kirvay stepped up to the weight with knee sleeves, a lifting belt, and wrist wraps. He approached the barbell with nine plates on each side with no spotter and got himself into position. Kirvay might have stepped after three reps but by the looks of it, there was even more in the tank.

Kyle Kirvay’s Transition Into Powerlifting Takes Next Steps
Kirvay earned his Pro Card in 2018 after winning Men’s Heavyweight and Classic Physique at the 2018 NPC Universe Championships. This was just his fourth bodybuilding competition and it did not take long for Kirvay to turn pro. Since 2018, he has only competed in one IFBB show and that was the 2020 Chicago Pro.
Kirvay took part in the 2022 USPA Battle of Atilis where he shined with massive lifts. This was his first powerlifting competition and set the bar for future marks.
During this show, Kirvay totaled 1,005kg (2,214lbs). He began with a 365kg (804lb) squat followed by a 275kg (606lb) bench press. Kirvay’s final lift was a 365kg (804lb) deadlift. All three individual lifts and his total was good enough to set New Jersey State Records. This was Kirvay’s debut in powerlifting and he made his return back in 2024. Kirvay set a new u140kg raw total world record during the show.
Kyle Kirvay has reached incredible heights in training and during his appearances in competition. After this recent PR lift, Kirvay could have more on his mind next time he takes the stage.
