Larry Wheels Made $10k Bet With Eddie Hall Prior To Fight, Thor Bjornsson Discusses Rematch Conditions

Larry Wheels might be in for some money after the fight between Hafthor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall.

Larry Wheels and Hafthor Bjornsson have known each other for years now. This has included training together and challenging one another on social media. Recently, the two got together for an interview that included some interesting information regarding the bout between Bjornsson and Eddie Hall.

On Saturday night, Bjornsson and Hall were able to step in the ring for a much-anticipated boxing match. It was Bjornsson who was crowned the winner by unanimous decision after six rounds. Bjornsson might not be the only winner as Wheels claims he had a wager on the event with Hall.

Taurus Art and NFT’s put together a work of art that showed Hafthor Bjornsson holding the head of Hall with Larry Wheels watching. Wheels shared the art on social media and there was an encounter with Hall in the comment section. The two decided to place a $10,000 bet on the boxing match.

“Remember that photo? It as quite an artful piece of you holding his head? It was good art. It was creative. He decided that it was going to be a good idea to say ‘let’s bet $10,000, I’m going to win.’ I took the bet because I knew you were going to win,” Wheels explained.

Hafthor Bjornsson was able to get the better of his rival in the first meeting and a second is not out of the equation. Following the fight, Eddie Hall spoke on the possibility of a rematch and hopes that it happens. As for Bjornsson, there are two conditions that he laid out in his interview with Wheels.

Prior to the event, Bjornsson and Hall made two stipulations — a $200,000 donation to the charity of the winner’s choice and that the loser gets a tattoo of the winner’s name. For Bjornsson to agree to a rematch, Hall would just have to fulfill his obligations from this match.

“I’m definitely wiling to do a rematch if he keeps his words. He obviously has to get the tattoo ‘Hafthor Julius Bjornsson — World’s Strongest Man’ on his body. Then he has to I’ve me $200,000 that I picked a charity that I will announce on social media,” Bjornsson said.

“So in reality guys, I don’t think the rematch will happen because I just don’t see him getting the tattoo.”

Despite their difference, Bjornsson had some positive things to say about his opponent following their fight. This had to do with Hall’s fighting style and the preparation that it took leading up.

“He fought well though, you know. I have a huge respect for him after the fight. He came in with a little bit too much anger, I think but he showed character and he fought well. He gave me some good punches for sure.”

There have been rumors about Hafthor Bjornsson potentially taking on Martyn Ford in the future. As of now, nothing is set in stone but there are plenty of ideas out there that could come to fruition before long.
