MICHAEL CHIESA ADMITS TO NEARLY SOILING HIMSELF DURING UFC ON FOX 19

Michael Chiesa

Talk about a dirty fighter…

There were a lot of stories coming out of UFC on FOX 19 at Tampa Bay this past weekend. Khabib Nurmagomedov had a dominant performance, we saw the fall of a legend in Rashad Evans as well as the resurgence of another in Glover Teixeira, and women’s strawweight Rose Namajunas made her case for the number one contendership against the winner of the Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Claudia Gadelha rematch in July. However, the untold story was of Michael Chiesa and his…well, bowel movement. In a post fight interview with Ariel Helwani the scrafty (scrappy and crafty) lightweight admitted to having other things on his mind during his  walk to the cage.  Despite his near mishap, Chiesa managed to finish the highly touted Beneil Dariush via rear naked choke/neck crack and called out Tony Ferguson in the aftermath. Watch Michael Chiesa tell the full story below. https://youtu.be/mfhfzOZ8O_4 As hilarious as that situation was, it brings up a real question I’ve always had during MMA fights…what if they have to go to potty? As Chiesa stated, after a certain time period they don’t let you leave the area. Nate Diaz touched on the same issue in a recent interview, stating he messed with staff during his Conor McGregor bout, joking that he had to use the bathroom just to watch them freak out. With the dramatic impact of nerves and rehydration on a fighter’s body, it’s pretty impressive we haven’t seen any “accidents” in the center of the octagon just yet. In case you were also wondering, one commonly used tricks is Imodium. Generically known as Loperamide, it’s a diarrhea medicine that fighters swear by – seeing as this is the first time we heard of this, I guess it works. Maybe Michael Chiesa should’ve reached out to a teammate. Chiesa But who knows, maybe the sense of urgency helped. Watch out Tony “El Cucuy” Ferguson – the brown assassin is coming for you – submission, via #2. Don’t forget to follow and like us on social media via (Twitter, Facebook)
