Milos Sarcev On Why Nick Walker Placed Second, Says Samson Dauda Can Win Olympia

Milos Sarcev shares opinion of Samson Dauda and Nick Walker.

Veteran bodybuilder and coach Milos Sarcev recently explain why he believes Nick Walker took second place at the 2023 Arnold Classic as well as Samson Dauda and his Olympia potential. A high level competitor in his heyday, Sarcev has the experience and keen eye to realize what went wrong for Walker and what went right for Dauda.

Heading into the 2023 Arnold Classic many believed that the top contenders would be Nick Walker, Shaun Clarida, Big Ramy, and, of course, eventual winner, Samson Dauda. That estimation proved to be correct as Walker and Dauda placed in the top three. Andrew Jacked also opened many eyes with his third place showing. It’s clear that the next generation of bodybuilders are here to stay and ready to cement a new era of the sport.

While Nick Walker has had a great deal of justified hype in recent years, Samson Dauda is proving to be the dark horse of the division. And while Walker was considered the favorite by many, he slipped up just a bit at this show according to Milos Sarcev. The veteran bodybuilder and coach analyzed Walker’s performance and came to a conclusion; his legs were downsized.

Walker’s Placing

In a recent episode of the Cutlercast, Milos Sarcev explained what he thinks went wrong for Nick Walker at the Arnold Classic.

“As far as Nick Walker. Let’s talk. Nick would be in a category of you – you go for your strengths and you were winning the shows. And Nick could go for his strengths and win the shows. Crazy conditioning, yes. But I think he sacrificed a little too much from Olympia and lost size in the legs. That now created even more imbalance from the upper body to lower body and it exposed his shoulder to quad ratio.”

Clearly Nick Walker isn’t too far off from the top spot and could easily win his next show. Competing again so close to the Olympia could have been the wrong move as his body couldn’t maintain all the muscle for the Arnold Classic cut. The cut likely shaved a bit of muscle off of his frame, particularly in his legs. That is at least according to Milos Sarcev.

Dauda’s Potential

The bodybuilding coach would also heap praise on his understudy Samson Dauda believing the man has potential to be an Olympia champion.

“He’s the best combination of everything,” said Sarcev. “Can he beat Hadi and Derek? Yes. Would this conditioning and size beat them at Olympia? We’d have to see them lined up next to each other.“
