The 36-year-old mother fell while on the treadmill and hit her head.

Delrie Rosario, a mother of four children in Washington, passed away after falling off a treadmill at an L.A. Fitness and hitting her head. She was 36 years old.

Rosario was at the gym with her sister, Marissa Woods, on July 21 when the accident occurred. She was running on the treadmill before collapsing and hitting her head. Woods spoke to KIRO 7 about the incident.

“She tried to slow down the machine. I thought maybe she just missed a step. She just collapsed, hit her head on the machine.”

Woods called out for help, asking if anyone in attendance at the gym knew CPR. Gym goers rushed over to help Rosario after her fall but Woods claims that the workers did not assist, claiming “they were in shock.”

According to the report, Rosario was rushed to a local hospital, where she later died. Rosario leaves behind four children, who she worked two jobs to support. Woods says that her sister will be remembered as a mother.

“A mother first. Always everything she did was for kids. She worked so hard for kids.”

Rosario chose to be an organ donor before her death and wanted to save others in need. According to a GoFundMe campaign, which was created for her children, Rosario’s heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver were donated to other patients.

This freak gym accident comes just a few weeks after a personal trainer and bodybuilder passed away in Bali after attempting a heavy squat.

Tragic Accident

The incident occurred at The Paradise Bali, a fitness center located in Sanur on July 17, 2023. Justyn Vicky was a well-known trainer at the gym and was performing a routine workout at the time of his death. While attempting to perform a back squat, Vicky would end up suffering a severe neck injury that would claim his life. The whole incident was captured on video showing the tragic accident in full.

Justyn Vicky attempted a 210 kg back squat with a spotter present just behind him. While at the bottom of the lift, Vicky appeared to struggle with the immense weight on his shoulders. Vicky was unable to bail on the weight in time and eventually fell forward with the bar still across his back as it rolled onto the back of his neck. The immense weight of the bar severely injured the bodybuilder’s neck in the tragic accident.

The incident would leave the bodybuilder with a broken neck and damaged nerves which connected to his heart and lungs. Despite undergoing emergency surgery, the doctors could not save Vicky’s life.
