Nick Walker spoke in-depth about his plans to work with Kyle Wilkes and Jared Feather.
Nick Walker announced his decision to name two new coaches last week. On Wednesday, he shared a video explaining his decisions and expressing his excitement for the season moving forward.
Walker named Kyle Wilkes as his head coach, who will oversee his entire process. He will also continue to work with Jared Feather in the gym. His relationship with both coaches began years ago. With Wilkes, it started in the gym during a leg day.

“He pushed me to a limit that I didn’t even know truly existed at the time. We probably pushed too hard but it was fun. I think it was needed. I got to really test my abilities in terms of what true failure really is.”
Wilkes began working with Walker years ago and even attended the 2019 USA’s with him. This allowed the eventual coach to get a glimpse of how Walker prepares.
“He got to see what my diet was, what my supplements were, how I trained, and he saw how my body would respond to certain things.”
Nick Walker continued to discuss why he is working with Feather as well and his overall feeling moving forward.

Walker took on the challenge of an RP-style workout, despite his previous feelings, and was impressed with the results. He decided to go back to working with Feather and used this style leading up to the 2023 Olympia.
“I wanted to go back to RP-style training so I hit up Jared. I think both of you get on the same page, both geniuses here in different ways. I think if we all collab, we can create something very special.”

Walker returned to the stage during the 2024 New York Pro. He was able to win the show but was not completely satisfied with the results.
“I think it was good. It was successful. I wasn’t a fan of my look as an overall. To be honest, I know it wasn’t my best whatsoever.
It is what it is. I want to go back to what I thought would have won me, if not battled me very hard, to win the Olympia title in 2023.”
Nick Walker missed the Olympia this year once again after pulling his name out of the show. The overall goal is to return to the biggest stage and win the Mr. Olympia competition. Right now, Walker has cut out cardio and is working on building his physique back to where it once was.
“We both know what’s at stake here. He’s ready to take on the challenge. I’m ready to take on the challenge. He knows me very, very well and he knows I don’t like change very much.
I woke up this morning around 284. I feel really good. Strength is really good. Body feels good. Me and Kyle have a good thing going right now and I’m very excited. I feel like I’m getting my groove back again. I’m enjoying the love of training again.”
