Phil Heath Has Been Added to the Qualified Athlete List for the 2020 Olympia

2020 has been a pretty hectic year to say the least.

With the global health crisis affecting everything from restaurants to athletic facilities to sporting events, it’s easy to lose track of things amidst the chaos. But people are doing their best to remain positive in the wake of the current climate. For bodybuilding fans, they’re looking forward to seeing their favorite competitors hit the stage once again.

As it stands, the 2020 Olympia is still set for December of this year. At the show we can expect to see the reigning Mr. Olympia Brandon Curry defend his title against beasts like William Bonac and Dexter Jackson. While a great deal of fans have been hoping for Phil Heath to be on that list, nothing has been confirmed about the seven-time champion’s status.

That is until now.

While it’s not a confirmation that Phil Heath will definitely compete at the 2020 Olympia, his name has been added to the qualified athletes list. On the official Olympia website Phil Heath is listed among a host of well regarded competitors.

The list on the website is as follows:

2020 QUALIFIED: MR. OLYMPIA

Brandon Curry (USA)

William Bonac (Netherlands)

Hadi Choopan (Iran)

Dexter Jackson (USA)

Roelly Winklaar (Curacao)

Phil Heath (USA)

Cedric McMillan (USA)

Nathan DeAsha (UK)

Juan Morel (USA)

James Lewis (USA)

With Phil Heath appearing on the list speculation is sure to arise. Will the seven-time Olympia champion make his long awaited return to the stage?
